At that moment, Pooh manages to use a long stick to save Roo. When Christopher Robin asks Pooh how he did that, Pooh replies that he “just did.” Pooh had the Tz’u, which is the caring mind, that just caused him to rescue Roo without much thought. It was through this caring mind that courage to do try anything and the wisdom to use the stick. When a person has Tz’u, then that person knows the “Good Thing to Do without thinking about it.” 3. 1. Which philosophies or religions of the three do you and your family mostly practice and believe in? Are there any other religions that you are particularly faithful to?(ex. Shintoism)
2. To what extent does your religion or philosophy of life affect you and those around?
3. Give reasons why it affects you more or less.
4. Give specific cases that show how much your religion and philosophy of life affects your life.
5. What are some religious and(or) philosophical beliefs that affect your life?
6. How do you practice any rituals or beliefs involved with your religion / philosophy?
7. How has the 5 Relationships of Confucianism affected you?(or not affected you?) If you do not know about these relationships, say so.
The 5 relationships of Confucianism is are sets of relationships between father and son, husband and wife, friend and friend, ruler and subject, older brother and younger brother.
8. Why did the 5 relationships affect or not affect you?(ex. I'm not really respectful to my brother, so it didn't have much effect)
9. What are some beliefs or faiths that are denied or ignored in your culture?(Global world, change of concepts, westernization, etc.)
10. Explain why these are denied, and give specific cases when these are denied.
11. To what extent has your religion and(or) philosophy of life change the view of the world?

1. My family mostly practices and belives in Buddhism. My dad is the strictest with this religion but my whole family tries to follow. Even though we practice Buddhism, since we are from a Chinese culture, our parents believe in Confucianism and try to teach us how to respect our parents.
2. I don’t think it has too much effect for others except for my family members. But I’m really polite to teachers since that’s how I learned to behave. I’m overall more politer than other people so i think people like me for that.
3. It affects me more because before learning about Buddhism and Confusianism, my personality was more wild and not pure. I think it doesn't affect me as much as it should be since I live in Canada and I am not around a Chinese culture.
4. Well I strongly believe in karma and reincarnation. From the deepest depths of my heart, I don't intentionally try to hurt people, animals or even inanimate objects. My whole family is also a vegetarian because of Buddhism. My dad has been a vegetarian for over 40 years and I have also been one for most my life.
5. As I’ve said, karma effects my life but then my parents focus on education a lot and I think that kind of came form Confucianism.
6. Maybe not rituals, but I try to believe in some concepts such as karma as much as possible and I became a vegetarian after learning about Buddhism, so I guess that counts? But I don't really practice really strict rituals. But we sometimes go to some temples but not anymore. Oh and I also I'm really respectful of my parents and my grandparents if that counts.
7. The relationships I think is all about respect between the people. It’s gotten weaker since I’ve came to Canada but relationships between my family members are still strong and on-going. I respect my dad and my older brother and I listen to my teachers and my boss at work.
8. I think it helped me a lot. the relationships within my families such as my mom and myself already existed so that didn’t really change. I’d think that relationships between my Canadian teachers really helped me to exceed in school Maybe some of the relationships got weaker since I came to Canada, but i think respect between these people exist everywhere, so it didn’t really change i think.
9 .Something like men overpowering women thing is kind of denied because men and women are socially equal. Also like parents abusing their sons and daughters are kind of prohibited even if the education is the most important. At least my parents never abuse me, even though they sometimes hit me LOL.
10. Obviously because of social equality and how abuse on children has been seen as bad unlike in the older times. I think it’s also because we’re in Canada since Canadians don’t really hit their children. For example, I probably couldn't go to college if I was born like 30 years ago.
11. My religion and philosophy of life made me to view the world kind way differently than before I learnt about it since 3rd grade. If I didn’t have Confucianism concepts behind me, I wouldn’t have felt too pressured to study. I’d be failing classes like my friends(LOL). I sometimes think that my Canadian friends are too impolite. I think they will regret by not studying much in school but I guess that differs for everybody. They also do things that might make them a bad object or something in the next life. I sometimes sigh at my friends who do things that are against my religion, but i don’t really force them my religion or anything like that. I think my religion just has an effect on me, my family and maybe some close relatives, but not much farther. But it surely affected my view of how the world is sometimes different than what I expect it to be.
